With regard to beverages for children, water is always still the best, but juice is also very good, if you want to give them some juice at the beginning of the day or the afternoon, but make sure it's 100% juice and no sugar added. In terms of soda and other beverages, even sports drinks they are often filled with lots of sugar and hypetescone syrup, so it's best to avoid those. Tea again, you know you want to avoid caffeinated teas, but often herbal teas can be really soothing and helpful for children, so for example Chimayo tea in the evening can be a really great way to wind down or fresh mint tea after a meal is also very helpful for the digestion.
