The experience of a parent joining an online network is different than a social media such as Facebook, because Facebook is more about your friends and close family and the people that you know and talk to. Community sites are more about just a group of people they may not necessarily know, but have a common bond and interest. So you’ve got all parents who are all going through the things you’re going through, who want to be there to help you and give advice and who’ve been there already. Where Facebook, a lot of people who don’t have kids, wouldn’t necessarily know the answer. Also, on the community site, although people may know you, there are people who don’t know you, so you can be more anonymous on a community site than you would be on Facebook setting.
