There are 12 steps to thriving in the book. And each one of us will pick the one to start with that most resonates. For me, the first step that I started introducing in my life was getting enough sleep. I find often as moms we think sleep doesn’t matter, we can get away without it, and the truth is that it’s essential. And now there is so much scientific evidence about what a wonder drug sleep really is in terms of our cognitive performance, health, our capacity to enjoy life. So getting more sleep than we are getting now, unless we are getting all we need, if we are one of the few wise people, for me is the first essential step in order to get into my zone, in order to get to my center, from which I can deal with whatever challenges every day brings.
