Going back to work after maternity leave is tough and emotional. You've been all about your baby all this time, so you probably haven't slept that much either. Do the best for yourself by planning ahead. The night before you go back to work, maybe two nights, organize your make-up and your wardrobe, and write detailed notes for your caregiver. Then on back to work eve, pack your lunch, pack your snacks and a refillable water container to put in the fridge. If you are still breastfeeding, pack your breast pump, pack your pads and that kind of thing. Big tip, go back to work on a Wednesday, if you can. A shorter work week is less overwhelming and tiring. The morning of, take a lot of time to cuddle with your baby. Maybe plan in to go late, to relieve stress. Remember, you are doing what's best for you and your family and helping to make your baby's life more comfortable. Also remember, that babies of working moms do just fine.
