You should never, ever heat a bottle of formula in the microwave. It's a common practice, a lot of parents do, but it's super dangerous. The reason for that is because the heating is often unevenly distributed. You can take the bottle out of the microwave and it feels cool enough to the touch, but a little portion of that liquid could be boiling inside and burn your baby. The best way to heat a bottle is to have a bowel of warm water on the counter and place the bottle into that bowel and let it gets nice and warm. The other thing is that babies like warm formula because we teach them to like warm formula. So if you don't ever want to have to deal with this, you can make a baby like formula at room temperature. You can even get them to have it cold.
