When I found out that my son didn’t have colic but actually had a food intolerance, at first I breathed a sigh of relief that I was in control now and I could actually help him. And that’s when I started by cutting out dairy.
I went on a website called godairyfree.org and it gave me the tools that I needed – it gave me market lists; told me what foods have dairy in it, for example, whey is dairy and I wouldn’t have known; it taught me how to read labels and markets.
And so I started cutting out of my diet and within two weeks my son was a new baby. He was cooing and smiling and it was such a relief, because one of my fears was that he would be delayed in all of this. And he wasn’t. He was happy and I was relieved.
