I always say that asking for help sucks. And it does. And a lot of that has to do with our expectations of ourselves and the fact we think that we should be able to get through this. There is sort of pull yourself up by the boot strap mentality. And I think also, asking for help is sort of a way saying I can't do what the other one is doing, or what I think the other mom is doing. Cause actually she is not doing that well at all, it is all a show. but if we think everyone else around us has it together and is thrilled and happy, there is something about reaching out and actually admitting out load to someone else, this is not how it is for me. And that is very difficult for people to do. They are afraid of admitting failure, as a mother they are afraid something bad is going to happen if they tell the truth about what really is going on. None of those things are true, but it makes it very hard to reach out and ask for help.
