How do I find time for myself of maintain balance as a stay at home dad? I think that for me the first year was our daughter was extremely difficult and in mind set I did myself a tremendous service. I tried to be everything. I tried to be super dad. Being a parent really is a 24-hour day job and between everything that you need to do take care of your child as well as maintain a household, bills, groceries, and errands, and a million things with your child it certainly takes a stole on you. Moving forward now that we have two kids one of the things that I really had to do is had a frank conversation with my wife about my personal needs. You cannot keep that pace off. You cannot keep that schedule of never taking time for yourself. So I think it is important even just to take an hour a day for yourself to read, to go for a run, go to the Gym, or even go out to the street to get a coffee and just reset mentally. In doing that, it really helps me a tremendous amount.
