Some wonderful birthday party etiquette tips are, the first thing that your children need to learn is that when they're having a party, they need to be or they should be inclusive of everyone. So they need to determine if this is going to be an entire class birthday, if it's going to be a same gender birthday, or if it's going to be a small, intimate gathering with just a few friends. If they are hosting a party, they want to think about greeting their guests, they want to have a big smile on their face, they want to make sure to make introductions to friends who may not know one another, and of course they want to say thank you for any gifts that are received and write hand-written thank you notes. If you are a guest at a birthday party, you want to make sure to arrive on time, have a positive, open attitude to any entertainment or activities that you'll be participating in, and also to make sure to thank the family when you leave.
