We have a lot of different issues when we're dealing with water in the event of an emergency. For example, if you get your water from any type of electrical plant, and most of us do, we're not going to have access to that water because we will undoubtedly lose electricity as well. One of my little tips though is if there is a situation where we lose power and you cannot get water, make sure that you fill up every vessel of whether it be a bathtub or pots, sink, pans, it doesn't matter. Because if you think about it, if we lose water but we turn on our faucet right now, you're going to get water out of it. So why not reap the benefits of the water that's still in the pipes, right? Good idea. And the other thing is we have to consider our pets because they're going to need water. And also, there's that really fun topic of flushing toilets, because we're not going to be able to do that either. If you have a pool though, that's a great thing because you can literally fill the back of your tank with water and fill the bowl, and you can flush the toilet. If you don't have access to a pool, then another little tidbit about using the bathroom is that you can line the bottom of your toilet with a bio-hazardous waste bag and then fill it with scoopable kitty litter. And then go ahead, do whatever it is that you need to do, take another bio-hazardous bag, fill that with another scoopable kitty litter, take out what you've done, put it in the bag and keep it, and the fact that you're using a bio-hazardous waste bag is great because nothing is going to come out of that bag. But in an emergency, these are things that you've got to think about. So, there you go.
