Breast versus bottle debate should affect adoptive parents a little bit less since it's much harder to be able to breastfeed an adopted child. But there are a number of people that are able to successfully breastfeed an adopted child. There's a number of things that you need to do prior to adopting and bringing a baby home, and realize that you need to be prepared to bring home a baby tomorrow or a year from now, the pumping that would be required, everything that goes into preparing to have your breasts being able to be used for feeding a baby, whether it's part-time breastfeeding or full-time breastfeeding; there's much work involved. We decided not to pursue breastfeeding our adopted child for numerous reasons. And I think only two people asked and questioned why we decided not to do that. Again, not anyone's business on why we were not breastfeeding the baby or why I was not breastfeeding the baby. But people do feel drawn to wonder and to question what decisions you're making and why you're making them.
