How can someone avoid some of these ingredients when they're eating out, whether at a friend's house or at a restaurant? I think some of the first steps that you can do is try to avoid products that contain corn or soy, because those are two of the crops that have been so heavily engineered. They've become so pervasive in our food supply, and when you're at a friend's house, or you're at a restaurant, it's pretty easy to navigate around those ingredients. Other steps that you can take are really just to focus on not making the "perfect" the "enemy of the good", and if you're doing a good job at home, and you're mindful of what you're shopping for and what's going into your grocery cart, you have to have the flexibility and the grace to navigate the outside world too.
