If you're creating your own brand, its actually easier to do so today than ever before. Because, social media is like a gift to entrepreneurs. You can go on twitter and claim the twitter handle of, you know, PR Guru, and people start believing you. You can basically describe yourself, hang up a shingle right away on social media and people start following you. And so, it's a great way to build up your brand quickly. The other thing is, really own your story. And, I recommend telling everyone what you do. Anyone who asks, don't be shy. Even if you're on the playground, you never know that mom, what she does for her work day, or what her brother does, or her sister or her spouse. Everyone is part of that network. And so, the more people understand that you do and can describe it in a very succinct way the better off you are in building your brand.
