Transcription:
We can best teach our children how to minimize the use of water, electricity, and minimize our trash, by connecting the dots for them. If they understand the implications of using those natural resources unconsciously, if they think about how much it takes to get that water out of that sink, and how much it takes to get the light to go on when you flip the switch. If they understand that there is no place for the trash to go, organically, they will create better habits for themselves around this. Kids get it. They want to have a clean, healthy environment around them, and if you explain what happens when you create too much trash, too much water, and too much electricity; they will come up with ways to reduce that usage.
