Transcription:
One of the easiest things parents can do to increase kids' cooperation is really very simple and it's reconnecting. It's that one-on-one time that you spend with kids. And in the rule of family, it's 10 minutes per day per parent per kid, which I know is a lot for some parents to consider. But you have to understand that when you're giving kids of your time, when you're giving them your attention, you are so serving both them and you, because kids know that you have to take care of them and that you have to spend time with them. But they want to know that you want to spend time with them as well. And when you do that, when you feed that need for them, giving them your attention, asking them questions, getting their opinions, it so comes back to you later on. You're basically building the reserves of cooperation and it's so worthwhile.
