Biomedicine is increasing in popularity to describe physicians that actually look at the whole body. They look and ask the question, the child's sick all the time, okay. Why is the child sick all the time? Yes, we have to put him on an antibiotic to fix the pneumonia or fix the ear infection, but we can then also say, "While you are on the antibiotic, let's figure out why you are getting sick all of the time?" These doctors will also look at sleep mechanisms. They'll look at the GI tract. They will look at everything about the child, the child's gait, how the child's hair grows, the nails grow. By looking at that, finding mechanisms that may cause alterations or imperfections in those systems and make improvements, very often using natural medications. Sometimes they have to use traditional medications.
