If your child is failing class, you have many warning signs. Every school gives about a five week progress report card. One thing you need to learn when those progress reports come out. Many of the report cards are either mailed out or the child gets them in their homeroom or advisory class. A child never really should fail a class. The parent and the student know every five week what their grade is. When you see a warning sign, like a low grade, you need to immediately go and talk to the teacher or the counselor and find out what you need to do to improve a grade. A fail is never a surprise. If a semester is 20 weeks, every five weeks you get a progress report card. You need to pay attention to what those grades are, so that your child does not fail a class.
