If you are recovered you probably wouldn't want to be drinking, using drugs again.So,it's really about changing the lifestyle that you are living and making the choice for yourself what your recovery looks like, So in AA they talk about people that if they can make the turn around and drink like a normal person again then our hats are off to them. We think that, that is a good idea. In the old days we firmly believed that it was totally about total abstinence. Sometimes you are not going to get that. But for somebody that who is truly a drug addict or alcoholic abstinence is the only thing that works successfully.
