After experiencing a miscarriage, it is natural to feel some distance between the partners. One of the things you can do to open up between you and your partner is three things. A, to really just accept your partner's feelings and emotions as they come up as they are. B, to share in a way that is caring. There is a difference between telling someone how you feel and expecting them to be on the same page as you, and there is the other thing of being able to share, "I'm feeling this way. How do you feel?" To really show that you care about how they feel, as well. The third thing is to just really come from a place of reassurance that you are going through a traumatic loss. And in going through a traumatic loss, you are going to go through it together. In that way, it builds a foundation of having trust and having respect for one another's feelings and most likely, your partner is going to open up to you even more. No matter what they say, they are going to feel heard and you are going to love them; which is the most important thing in the end.
