I think sometimes the diagnosis is harder for dads just because they process things differently. You'll always hear the moms will go into survivor mode and just start working on your child right away. You know, again, it's part of the acceptance process, and dads are going to have to give, you know, change their hopes and dreams for their child, especially since autism is more prevalent in boys, so that's their son, so that's a harder thing I think for some dads to accept. There are some great dads out there and vice versa, but in most cases I think it's a little bit harder for them to accept it.
