I do prefer that the playmates for Charlie know that he has Autism. It makes it easier for me to explain the structure that we have to have. When he has behavioral issues, parents understand what's going on. I think they tend to be more supportive and less judgmental. The play dates always go an awful lot better. They understand why we have structured a play date in a certain way. I just feel more support that way.
