Chinese medicine treats ADHD, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder in the following ways.
What we do is recognize that there are environmental factors like toxins, that need to be cleared out of the system. We will actually put children on a gentle cleansing, detoxification program to help get rid of the neurotoxins they picked up along the way. In that case, we check the liver because it is important in the detoxification.
The second way acupuncture is used to balance chemicals in our brain. It includes neurochemicals that make you relax. In children, they are probably over amped, way too stimulated. This is a way we can stimulate serotonin to help them relax. We balance the brain chemicals and you can focus. We also introduce herbs to focus and concentration.
