There are two things that child sex offenders are very interested in online. And one is an image. And that´s just a picture. And a picture might have a great deal of information in it or it might be very difficult to glean any information from. Technically it might contain information concerning the camera that was used to take it or where it was taken using GPS technology, particularly with the phones. And somebody might have an identifying image on them and identifying piece of information on them like a junior high school track club or something that might identify them or help to identify them or minimize the number of people that they might be. Identity is another piece of information and far more appealing for a child sex offender to want to get a hold of. And that is while that picture is just you, that image, that identity is you to the exclusion of all others, your name, where you go to school, where you live, who your friends are. And that will help a child sex offender in the future accomplish his objectives, which is maybe not just finding out who you are. The objective of no child sex offender is to find out who an individual is. The objective of the child sex offender is to satisfy their sexual desire for children.
