An inappropriate sexual relationship or a parent that doesn't respect the boundaries with a child, is something that needs to be addressed immediately. Often times, parents don't have the skills as to how to interview a child correctly on something so important. One of the things that I would suggest is that a parent immediately go to a pediatrician or a child psychologist and get some help in learning the questions to ask or bringing the child to the professional to find out, is this something that happened. It's possible that in the questioning, children think that you want a certain answer and will answer in a certain way. One of the things that we've learned about molestation over the years is how we word the questions and what we say is critical in getting accurate and correct information from the child.
