Meet Philippe Friedlich, MD

I am Dr. Phillippe Friedlich. I am a professor of Pediatrics and surgery at the University of Southern California and a neonatologist at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. For the last 15 years, I have been a practitioner in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children's Hospital of Los Angeles specializing in the care of babies with congenital anomalies. My research interests are how to support babies who have significant lung and cardiac disorders. When I don't practice medicine, I spend my time with my two daughters. I have two daughters. Alexander is 17 and Nicole is 16, who share my passion for diving. They have been scuba diving with me since I was quite young. And when I don't dive, my other passion is sailing the oceans.

Philippe Friedlich, MD, MS Epi, MBA is the Associate Director and Division Chief of the Center for Fetal and Neonatal Medicine at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, as well as the Medical Director of the hospital’s Newborn & Infant Critical Care Unit (NICCU). Dr. Friedlich is a professor of Pediatrics and Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California.
