You know I like to say that women can have it all, but not all at the same time. So being a good mother sometimes means stepping out of the work force for months or years until you are ready to come back in. But the great news is, we have now gone through the technological revolution, so you can still keep your electronic foot print current. That means that, even if you are not working you can make sure that your Google search still looks like you are very active. You can keep an active link in profile, Facebook and Twitter and keep it professional, you can be reading professional Journals and Books on your profession and making sure you put reader comments, 'cause guess what, when that perspective employer Google's you, those things show up. So, I would say be very aware of your electronic foot print, if it's only filled with Mommy Blog's and crying over how hard Mommy life is, then that's what they're going to see when they Google you. So try to make sure that you are keeping abreast of what's going on in your industry and you are having a voice out there electronically.
