You know the argument, can we really afford to require these companies to label genetically engineered foods? They're already labeling genetically engineered foods in other countries. American corporations, the products they sell overseas, these ingredients are either labeled or they're not used at all, so the argument that we can't afford to do this when they have already done it in other countries is not acceptable. By labeling these ingredients these companies aren't having to change formulation or do anything differently. It's simply giving Americans that same freedom of choice and that same right to know that our own American corporations have already given to eaters in other countries
