About 75% of all foods contain some genetically modified ingredients. The most common genetically modified plants are corn, soy canola cotton seed oil and also it is important to look out for famine, because they are fed genetically modified grain. In terms of avoiding GMO's when you are out and try to feed your family. I think if you are eating out, avoid fast food because the many of the fast foods have GMO's and they are not going to label it and they are not going to tell you, hey these hamburgers have GMO's in it. Look for whole foods, where possible and If you can, try to choose organic because by definition organic is GMO free. And then in terms of produce, look for organic, so when you are shopping you see the little PLU's stickers. Look for the number 9 which means it’s in the organic produce and with regard to beef choose grass fed, because again traditional conventional beef is fed grains that often can be genetically modified. In terms of Sea food, look for wild fish especially Salmon again they are fed genetically modified grain.
