The best way to teach values to children, is for parents to really look inward, and decide what values are important to them, and what values are important to teach their children. A couple of things to remember. Modeling these values is very important. The more the children see the values, the more it becomes normal for them. Repetition. Children need to see these values exercised over and over again, to really get a clear picture that being civil and living a valued life is not easy it's complicated, but they need to see the many different scenarios. The last thing is to use storybooks and movies, like "Aesop's Fables" and "The Boy Who Cried Wolf," so children really learn some of those common values that are important in life.
