You know, everybody talks about sleep training your child and this was my first one. And so here in L.A. they say I was more of the gentler approach where I would shush her to sleep. But by the time she was about 10-months old, she was getting really heavy. I was tired of like putting her down and sneaking out of the room. So, everyone said, "Well, you have to sleep train her. Just leave her in there. Let her cry. She'll be fine." Well, that was great. But my daughter is very stubborn and would cry and cry until she threw up, till she would do it on purpose. And I talked to my pediatrician and apparently that;s a problem that kids have. And once they learn that throw up is the ultimate tool to get you to come back in, they manipulate their throw up. And she said just leave her in it. Let her throw up and let her sleep like that and she'll quit doing it. I thought that was a little harsh, but after another month of cleaning up throw up, I decided to try it. So two nights she slept in her throw up and she never did it again after that. And it was funny, even till the age of three, for my three-year old I'd have to say, "If you throw up, you're gonna be in big trouble."
