This is actually one of the most difficult issues to address because every child with CHARGE syndrome is just as unique as every other child. The life expectancy is obviously challenged due to the number of surgeries that the child will go through initially in his early years. It is a very, very intense period this first few months of life. But so many of the children make it through.
