Massage during pregnancy can be amazing if it's done correctly and by someone who knows what they are doing. Benefits of prenatal massage are great for both mind and body. It increases circulation which helps decrease the fluid build up, the swelling that takes place on the hands and the feet. Massage helps loosen up those stiff, sore, achy muscles and as a result makes sleeping more comfortable. And that improves the overall well being during pregnancy for both mom and the growing baby. In addition to the regular licensure and certification for massage, people who provide prenatal massage should have additional training and certification.
