I’m Arianna Huffington, the co-founder and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post. And most recently I’m the author of Thrive, a book about redefining success and creating a life of well-being, wisdom, wonder, and giving. And I’m a mom. I have 2 daughters who are now 23 and 25. Isabella just graduated from college in art history. And Christina graduated two years ago in history. I am very grateful to be a mom. It’s the most wonderful thing in my life. And Thrive is dedicated to my own mom, because she was a real role model of living life in the present, able to really enjoy every moment instead of, as often happens in our lives, getting lost in our thoughts or in our smart phones. One of the biggest challenges I’ve been facing is learning to deal with my addiction to technology, learning to take my phones out of my bedroom before I go to sleep so I’m not tempted to look at my data in the middle of the night. And one of my favorite things to do is do a digital detox, whether it’s for a day. Once I did it for a whole week. Disconnect from technology and really connect with myself, my loved ones, my children, nature, books. I loved the feeling of renewal that came from that.

Arianna Huffington is the chair, president, and editor-in-chief of the Huffington Post Media Group, a nationally syndicated columnist, and author of fourteen books.

In May 2005, she launched The Huffington Post, a news and blog site that quickly became one of the most widely-read, linked to, and frequently-cited media brands on the Internet. In 2012, the site won a Pulitzer Prize for national reporting.

She has been named to Time Magazine's list of the world’s 100 most influential people and the Forbes Most Powerful Women list. Originally from Greece, she moved to England when she was 16 and graduated from Cambridge University with an M.A. in economics. At 21, she became president of the famed debating society, the Cambridge Union.

She serves on several boards, including HuffPost’s partners in Spain, the newspaper EL PAÍS and its parent company PRISA; Onex; The Center for Public Integrity; and The Committee to Protect Journalists.

Her 14th book, Thrive: The Third Metric to Redefining Success and Creating a Life of Well-Being, Wisdom, and Wonder was published by Crown in March 2014 and debuted at #1 in the New York Times Bestseller list.
