Movements are very important in pregnancy because it's a very good indicator of fetal well-being. Any time a baby moves, you know your baby is healthy. Now the baby doesn't necessarily move all the time; there are sleep cycles the babies have, and so therefore the baby will have times where you won't feel the baby move at all. But as long as you feel the baby moving intermittently throughout the day, everything seems fine. If there's a question mark, you can always do what's called kick counts where an hour after you eat dinner, you put your hands on your belly, lie in a dark room and count the number of movements. And you should get at least ten in an hour. If you don't get ten in an hour, you should call your physician.
