So traveling with kids can be challenging of-course, but it's all about how you handle it. I'd like to say, " Be as prepared as possible for that trip." If you have kids in the baby years, like 0-3, you want to map out every 20 minutes of your flight and really have an activity. Because kids have very little attention spans at that age and they want to move from activity to activity to activity. So the more you can map out different things, whether it's drawing or invisible ink pads or what ever is really having that time. And I'm a big, you know, media limits person, but on airplanes all bets are off. Kids can watch as much T.V., videos, I-Pad, as they want. Because you just want a peaceful flight. Now the other really essential thing is not to worry about the people around you. So often I see people mistreating their children because they are so afraid of the people around them. So they're yelling at them or shushing them in a very harsh way or maybe tugging on them. That's just not a way to treat your kids ever. And certainly not when you are on this closed compartment. Any kid will be uncomfortable on a flight. So the more empathy you can show to your child about how difficult traveling is and how it can be difficult, the easier it will be for you. Because mostly when kids are crying they just want you to say, " I know your ears hurt. I know it's tough. But there is only an hour left and we'll make it fun." So as positive as you can keep it and more relaxed you can keep it, the better the trip will be.
