There are all kinds of conditions that lead a child to being a bully. For example, role modeling – there could be a number of people in the house who are abusive to the child, or the child could be witnessing a lot of abuse. Children who bully have a great sense of self-entitlement. Many are jealous of others and many are just there because they can. Doctor Scott Poland who does a lot of work in violence and children who take their lives because of bullying was interviewing a bank robber actually and said, “Why are you robbing banks?” And the guy said, “Well, that’s where the money is.” And the thing is, children bully, because they can.
