It's a tremendous loss when your kids go off to college, however it's very important that the parents understand that this is the time for your child to grow up. This is the time for them to learn to do things on their own and you can't do continue to do everything for them, like you did when you lived at home. Sure you can move them into their dome. You can help decorate it, but at that point, you have to stop and let them become adults. Let them make their own telephone appointments or setting up the cable TV. We found it's great to let them book their own airfares home. They learn that they better do it on time. They better shop for the best rate and if they want to get a good flight, they have to plan in advance. So we found that's a good learning experience for them and of course we love to see them come home so encourage them to book their flight. There's a tendency for parents to want to call their kids when they are in college, and text them when they are in college and email them every day. But it's important for them to adjust to their college life. It's important for them to settle in and if you are texting every 5 minutes or calling, it doesn't give them a chance to settle in to a life away from home and it doesn't give you an opportunity to cut to code yourself, so we hold back. We do communicate. We love when they call, but we don't do it every day.
