Transcription:
When a person arrives in a recovery center they generally do have a problem with addiction. What that addiction is or what brought them to addiction is going to vary from person to person. An addiction facility is not a fun place to be. It's not a spa, it's not a place of relaxation, it is a place that is intense, serious, and very focused. So someone who comes to an addiction facility is generally an addict. They don't want to be there otherwise. So what we look at then is what brought them to that place of addiction, what is their life story. In helping someone to understand where they arrived at addiction we need to help them develop tools for their addiction issues and what brought them there. Where their points of, where their concerns are, and in doing that we utilize several approaches, on eof which is the 12 Step Program. When you understand yourself emotionally you're still vulnerable to waking up in the middle of the night and having that fear and anxiety and troubles in your life. To help you get through those places, a 12 Step Program, a 12 Step approach is essential. That's the tool to recovery that helps you to understand all the other aspects of your life.
