Transcription:
The internet has absolutely had a negative impact. Teenage boys with one click of a button have access to so many different sites, and a lot of these sites are basically mine fields for violence. And so, this teenager is walking around with all this hatred and violent imagery and it creates in that teenage boy a sense of confusion, a sense of distrust, a sense of maybe there is something to this. And what is really bad is that most often the teenager will not go to their parents and say look what I found on the internet. Because when you are a teen, information is power. Hoarding that power is a very healthy part of establishing independence. When a child is learning all these things on the internet, they will keep it to themselves and a lot of times it will explode in a very mind field kind of way when certain behaviors result from this absorption of all of this unhealthy knowledge you can obtain via the internet.
