I think the question of how much privacy we give to our kids is a core parenting question. Two things to keep in mind at the start, I want to limit sedentary electronic pleasures to 2 hours a day. More than that and their problem is on something else that's important for their development. Secondly, I want to stick on the radiance analyst have strong reasons to do otherwise. Beyond that, I want to tell my kids that I have the right to look at any media you own whenever I want. That's the standing rule. Now, I keep between me and my guardian angel, I'm only going to do that is as much as I think they needed. And I judge that based on their success. The more they are showing me success, the more they are showing me responsibility, the more freedom I'm going to give them. It's definitely a moving target. It's not static. Every 6 months a year, I'm reassessing, reevaluating and allowing more or less freedom based on their success. Randomly checking. I will check more if I see lack of success, I will check less if I see success.
