Social media has a whole new face in a mobile environment. It's no longer Facebook, although Facebook is still very popular. We need to be looking at things like Kick, Snapchat, and Instagram. They're going to continue to change. I can say these right now, but in 2 weeks, there may be something new. So parents, what you really need to know is about downloading mobile restriction on these mobile devices and on these tablet devices. If your child is under 18, they are not supposed to have any type of social network at all. And even Kick and Snapchat, you're supposed to be 17 in order to have these things. So in a mobile environment, you can look at the restrictions and set the downloads to only things that are 4+, 9+, and then you can turn off 12+ and 17+. That will stop them from getting to new apps and new technology that you don't know about until they ask you for it first.
