Attachment parenting to me, means being close with my child. It was about bonding with them after birth. It was about breastfeeding. It was about staying close to them when they slept. It was about listening to their cries. It was really about being responsive to them and building a relationship with them. I respected my child as a whole person, as a competent, capable person; listening to their needs and making sure I got what they weren't able to get for themselves.
