If your toddler's still waking at the crack of dawn there's a couple of things you can do. First of all take check of what the crack of dawn is. If it's before 6 a.m., it's the crack of dawn, if it's after 6 a.m. it's not the crack of dawn and the sleep guide say that they are able to get up after 6 a.m. so that's the first thing you need to do. The second thing I would do is just play around with they're bedtime, sometimes you need to move it fifteen minutes earlier or fifteen minutes later, so just play around with their bedtime a little bit and see if that helps as often that will rectify the waking up too early in the morning situation. And most new parents don't realize this, but they think that if you keep a baby up later they'll sleep in later that's not the case. They'll still wake up very early in the morning, so put them to bed earlier is actually better because they get more of the REM sleep than they get more sleeping in later, so if you put your baby to bed at 6:30 p.m. and they are waking up at 6 a.m., then I'd try 6 p.m. and then they might sleep until 6:30 or even 7 a.m. It doesn't make any sense, but that's the way it works.
