When you have cancer and you are trying to take care of your children at the same time, you need to obviously be careful to keep their routines as normal as possible. Be sure to tell their teachers when you have your treatments and hopefully they can keep a little extra eye on them during these difficult times. Be sure to ask questions, check in, see how they are feeling. I always took the time to make sure I spent extra one-on-one time with each of my girls, whether it would be just snuggling up and watching a movie or going out for an icecream and checking in with their feelings. I usually found they are pretty resilient. They don´t think about it like we do and just try and keep their routine as normal as possible.
