Planning for visitors during your child's hospitalization can be a very confusing time. You first want to check with your hospital to see if they have a specific visitation policy in place, so that you can abide by those rules. You also, if possible, want to involve your child in this process and ask them if they have one special friend they'd like to visit them while they're here. Often times children don't want too many visitors other than family because they feel that they don't look the way they would at home, or they're unable to do things that they did previously before the hospital. So just be mindful of the physical limitations of your child during their hospitalization and who they want to provide comfort to them during this really stressful time.
