There are a lot of things you can do to create a unique nursery. One of the things that I did when my son, Axel, was born, was I love to make things for myself. I'm completely obsessed with fabrics. So I went to the flea market and found vintage seed bags and four yards of this beautiful vintage french material. I went ahead and made my own crib bedding and bumper out of the vintage seed bags. I used the french vintage material for shades. It turned out so beautifully, and I get so many compliments for that. The wonderful thing is that no one else has it. It's entirely my own. It was an act of love for me for my son. He'll remember his mom did that for him.
