My golden nugget parenting advice... let's see. I had one the other day that I thought was pretty golden. My daughter lost a tooth and she... her friend at school told her - was being, you know, insistent – that the tooth fairy didn't exist. And I don't care about any of this stuff. I don't care about tooth fairies; I don't care about Santa Claus. I don't care. But I've never... but Debbon, my wife, does and my daughter clearly does, so I've never been the one to rain on her parade – I've kind of gone along with it. But whenever she's looked me straight in the eye and ask me a question, I will give her an answer. But so she came home from school and said her fiend said what she should do is not put her – and it's funny that she told me this - because she said, "My friend said, 'Don't put the tooth under your pillow tonight. Because if... do it on some night... another night. Because then, if the fairy doesn't come, then you'll know that it's fake.’” So she was going to try to trick us. And I said... I could tell she didn't really want me to rain... she wanted me... she wanted to believe in a tooth fairy, so I wasn't going to take it away from her and so I kinda... I looked at her and I said, not sternly, but kind of seriously, I went, "What kind of question is that?" And she went, "I don't know. I was just thinking..." And then like a few minutes later she was like, you know, because she said it doesn't exist and I think maybe it doesn't and I don't know whether mommy and daddy... or you guys put the money under but what do you think? And again I just kind of looked serious and I went, "What kind of question is that?" And she shut up. And I was like, "This is genius!" Because that was it. That was the end of it. She just like let it go. She didn't push it, because I think she was just so like, "I don't know what kind of question it is." So that was the end of it.
