If a child is having seizures regularly, we have to re-assess what we are doing, as a medical community, to help that child. Are we on the right seizure medication? Is the seizure medication at the optimal levels for that particular child? Have we augmented things in that child to make it harder for him to have a seizure? We call that raising the seizure threshold. We can do things, like Vitamin B6. We can do things like Ibuprofen if they are prone to having seizures during an illness, but there are different things we can do to make it harder for that child to have a seizure. We must get them under control. The more frequently they are having them, the more we have to go to the neurologist and say, "This intervention isn't working." Just keep sticking to it.
