It’s important to note special occasions and holidays that matter to you, especially after a miscarriage. For occasions like Mother’s Day, really, ahead of time, enlist the help of a friend or a family member. Tell them how much this holiday means to you, so that you’re not spending it alone. And it really validates, whether or not you gave birth, that Mother’s Day, you’re still a mother. On other dates, such as the anniversary of the death when you don’t… might not want to be alone, really tell a friend ahead of time as well. And spend that day kind of reflecting on some of the memories that you have of the baby or having time together, having a cup of tea. It really helps to share what you’re feeling on that day with another person, to really commemorate and honor the memory. Because it was there and it’s important.
