Transcription:
Dilation is the process in which the cervix opens. The cervix is the opening to the uterus. And the baby is living in the uterus. And contractions in combination with the head pressing on the internal aspect of the cervix allows it to dilate or to open. And we usually monitor that in centimeters, so you are one centimeter, four centimeters. 10 centimeters is when you are completely dilated, and that´s when we usually initiate the pushing process.
